Scott Harding

Scott Harding leads and manages SilMan’s overall risk control throughout all national operations. He oversees and maintains our safety and health policies, procedures, programs, incentives and safe working culture. He joined the firm in early 2010 and since day-one, has developed our companywide safety culture, vision and objectives, which today, boasts an impressive ZERO lost-time incidences with over 1,000,000 man-hours under his belt.

Scott provides training to all levels of management, field staff, preconstruction and project team members, interacts with clients, subcontractors, and inspectors, while continuously developing preventive and corrective methods and practices to ensure a safe working environment.

Scott’s safety role during the NUMMI plant closure in 2010 and the Toyota Mississippi plant (Corolla Assembly Line) in 2011, served as a catapult to expand SilMan’s organization as well as establish its reputation within Toyota (TEMA), including numerous high profile clients across the US.

With a degree in engineering, along with his background in commercial project management, military fire-fighting and life saving training, including environmental, health and safety qualifications, Scott is highly regarded by clients nationwide. He has an extensive list of certifications including U.S. Naval Fire-Fighter & Damage Control Trainer, OSHA 500/501-Certified DOL Trainer for OSHA 10 & 30; Certified IVES Mobile Equipment Trainer, HAZWOPER 40, NFPA70E, and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Additionally, he has training in Rigging, Crane Safety, Confined Spaces, Scaffolding, Heat Illness, Silica Dust Control, SWPPP, Work Zone Safety & Traffic Control, Fire Prevention, Emergency/Crisis Management, Industrial Hygiene, Risk Management, OSHA Recordkeeping, HazMat, and more.

Scott holds numerous safety and project-related awards from NECA/IBEW Northern California Chapter including several Marv Jensen Safety Awards, Project Excellence Awards, and a Zero Injury Award.

He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology of Construction from California Polytechnic University of Pomona.
