SilMan Industries Featured in MHEDA Journal

MHEDA, an industry-leading material handling industry group, featured SilMan Industries in the Q2 edition of the MHEDA Journal. We are proud of the opportunity to put our culture in the spotlight!

The article appears below. If you wish to view the article online, here is the full edition.

The MHEDA community is a nexus of suppliers and integrators, offering unparalleled networking and relationship-building. They also provide a platform for learning and specialized exchange groups, including their ever-popular “Women in Industry” meetings.

This is not the first time SilMan has appeared in the journal. Team member Shellia Jefferson appeared in an early edition following the 2023 women’s conference.

SilMan’s appearance in the journal arrives as MHEDA members converge on San Diego for the annual National Convention in April. David Rebata and Garrett King (Engineering Team Leader) will represent SilMan at the event. 2024 marks MHEDA’s 70th year serving the material handling sector.

Lastly, a big “Thank You” to David Rebata for driving SilMan’s MHEA relationships while leading the  Material Handling Division, and Nicole Needles for her thoughtful approach to the article.

About the Company

SilMan Industries (previously SilMan Construction) is based in San Leandro, Calif., with Engineering and Field Operations offices in Tupelo, Miss. The firm provides integrated turnkey solutions in the Industrial, Manufacturing, Distribution, and Public Works sectors.

Notably, in 2010 SilMan Industries was contracted to dismantle and remove the NUMMI assembly line in Fremont, Calif., transport the equipment, and reinstall the system in Blue Spring, Miss., establishing Toyota Motor Manufacturing Mississippi (TMMMS). This high-visibility project ignited the company’s meteoric growth, laying the foundation for SilMan’s rise as a national service provider.
