(Still) Too Important to Keep to Ourselves

In response to the changing guidance regarding Coronavirus and COVID-19 response, the SilMan Safety Team has crafted an updated response plan. As with earlier editions, we also wish to make this document available to everyone, especially for organizations that may not have the internal resources to produce such a document.

While SilMan is headquartered in Northern California, SilMan is active on a number of projects nationwide.  The newly released version addresses a variety of local and regional guidance, as well as direction from federal agencies.

The document’s full title is “COVID-19 Exposure, Control, Prevention, and Response Plan.”

Here are the guides, including a summary of the changes from previous versions.

Why the Update?

On 11/30/20, Cal/OSHA Standards Board approved and put into law an Emergency Temporary Standard for COVID-19 Prevention, Title 8 CCR 3205, requiring employers to develop a written COVID-19 Prevention Program.

Our existing plan was revised and restructured to include all of the required elements of this new emergency standard. Because Cal/OSHA standards commonly meet and exceed most other state’s standards, we have adopted this plan to be applicable to all SilMan operations, companywide.
