Abhinesh Jit Appointed as CFO

Ongoing growth and subsequent demands on administrative resources lead to the first officer appointed by the San Leandro-based industrial services provider since its founding in 2008.
San Leandro, Calif.: SilMan Industries has named Abhinesh Jit as CFO, reflecting the firm’s continued maturation in the marketplace. The firm has enjoyed stable growth since its establishment in 2008, including a portfolio of regional and national accounts. Mr. Jit, also known as “AJ,” has led the accounting team since January 2018.

AJ is the first appointment of a company officer beyond the founders and brings an experienced fiscal voice to senior leadership. Furthermore, he will be empowered to act on behalf of the company in regard to banking, bonding, and creditors.
Efficiency and Strategic Growth
CEO Tom Mangin made the following statement regarding the new appointment:
“In an officer role, Abhinesh will be in a stronger position when dealing with State, City, and other municipalities. Since these agencies may only work with company officers, we can now avoid communication bottlenecks.
Secondly, as our team continues to grow, this expanded role will help our internal resources, such as payables, receiving, payroll and purchasing, to have a single point of contact.
Lastly, adding increased oversight of our operations and management structure will allow other senior team members to focus on their specialized areas.”
As the team leader of the accounting department, AJ recently led the company through a year-long effort to integrate the Sage Accounting and Procore Project Management systems. The resulting platform has provided a real-time collaborative tool for team members, clients, and partners, delivering efficiency, streamlined reporting capabilities, and improved competitiveness.
More About Abhinesh Jit, aka “AJ”
Mr. Jit immigrated from Fiji Islands at 17 years of age. He attended San Joaquin Delta College (AA) and California State University Sacramento earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration before entering the workforce.
When questioned about this new opportunity and his tenure at SilMan Industries, AJ replied “I am grateful to [founders] Tom and Rick for their trust and confidence. Ever since I left public accounting, SilMan has treated me like family.”
