Design and Engineering
SilMan’s in-house system design engineering team is the epicenter of our custom material handling solutions. This Mechanical-Electrical-Structural team is at the heart of the SilMan Material Handing Integration team. That’s how we could engineer conveyance and robotic palletizing cells, custom programming, along with structural designs for facility updates to receive the new system…all on a single project. Or how a simple repair call can result in a brand-new belt-curve conveyor solution – reverse-engineered into legacy equipment – at near break-even expenditure.

Equipment and Integration
The SilMan System Integration team is a renowned material handling equipment supplier, in partnership with industry-leading manufacturers. Serving parcel, distribution, apparel, food/beverage, and manufacturing sectors. Including the cooperage industry. For instance, an innovative conveyor system design for a parcel sortation center that included facility improvements to maximize egress and cart paths. Or, a cost-justifiable automated system solution that creates an unexpected pre-sort to increase throughput, lower touches, and raise team member productivity and well-being.

Controls and Automation
The Unison Warehouse Control System paves the way to Industry 4.0 automation efficiencies. More than just software, Unison harmonizes every element of your warehouse. For example:
A combination polybag-carton system, in-line weight and dimension capture, and automated print-and-apply shipping labels. Or an automated inspection and sortation system that detects malformed boxes to improve palletizing operations.
And here is a fully automated robotic palletizing system that produces thousands of unique iterations of destinations, product configurations, and pallet sizes.

Implementation and Support
SilMan’s Specialty Trade Services team (STS) provides self-performed project implementation support for all material handling equipment, systems, and applications, and includes in-house safety management. Case in point: industry-leading parcel and fulfillment providers rely on this specialized force and their project management prowess to deploy national programs in support of facility relocations and line modifications in multiple sites and states. Baggage handling? You bet!
Lifetime Value: The STS team enjoys a stellar reputation for providing maintenance, repair, and retrofit services that help our clients achieve optimal performance from their equipment, controls, industrial facilities, and building systems.
